Livity Productions is governed by an independent board of four directors committed to Technical Equity, fiscal accountability, and intergenerational rhythm in Toronto's music community.
Anthony Fairman is the founding force behind Livity Productions — a visionary who built the organization from the ground up with one conviction: that Toronto's independent artists deserve the same infrastructure as the artists signed to major labels. As Visionary in Chief, Tony sets the strategic direction of the organization, forging the partnerships, programming, and pathways that connect raw talent to real opportunity. His leadership is rooted in lived experience — as a practitioner who understands both the creative and commercial dimensions of the music industry, he bridges the gap between artistic integrity and sustainable enterprise. Tony's philosophy is simple: equity is not a gift, it is architecture. Every program Livity builds reflects that belief.
Petar Hristovski is a builder in every sense of the word — from the drum kit to the balance sheet. With 15 years of experience spanning live performance, studio production, sound engineering, and event design, Petar brings a practitioner's precision to Livity's financial governance. As Steward of Assets, he ensures that every grant dollar and donor contribution is deployed with the same intentionality that goes into crafting a great live show: nothing wasted, everything purposeful. A drummer and live sound specialist by trade, Petar understands the infrastructure that artists need — not in theory, but from the stage. His dual fluency in creative production and fiscal discipline makes him a rare asset to any non-profit board. At Livity, he is the person who makes sure the vision stays solvent, the community stays resourced, and the next cohort of artists never has to choose between their craft and their livelihood.
Classically trained keyboardist with nearly 30 years of experience across the Caribbean, Toronto, and Ottawa. Since 2003, Steven has worked as a studio and session musician — serving as band leader, musical director, recording engineer, and arranger across jazz, soul, funk, reggae, and contemporary fusion. Currently Production Director and Sound Engineer at his Ottawa church, he brings deep technical discipline and intergenerational rhythm to Livity's governance. As Digital Architect, Steven shapes the technological infrastructure that powers Livity's platforms, ensuring that the tools artists use are as sophisticated as the music they create. His guiding principle: "Less is more — embrace the space in music."
Derrick Fairman is Livity's institutional memory — the steady hand that ensures every commitment made to artists, funders, and partners is documented, honoured, and traceable. As Guardian of the Record, Derrick maintains the governance framework that gives Livity credibility with grant bodies, regulatory agencies, and strategic allies. His meticulous approach to record-keeping and organizational accountability is the foundation on which Livity's programs stand. Where vision creates momentum, Derrick ensures that momentum is sustainable. His work behind the scenes is what allows Livity to move boldly in public — because every decision is grounded in process, every promise backed by paper, and every relationship built on trust.
